Annual Heritage Hustle 5K Is Set For Saturday

   The annual Heritage Hustle, one of many events of Mainstreet’s Heritage Festival, is slated to get underway this Saturday in Lawrenceburg.

   The Heritage Hustle 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00 a.m. on the Lawrenceburg Public Square on Saturday, June 2. The 3.1 mile course, clearly marked and easy to follow, winds through town.

   During the first run last year, more than sixty runners from North Alabama and surrounding counties converged upon the square to take part in the event.

   Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age division. The top male and top female runner will receive a $30 gift certificate. The top winner will also receive a $50 cash prize.

   Entry fee on the day of the race is $20 per participant. Registration will be held between 7:00 and 7:45 a.m. The race will begin at 8:00.

   The competition is open to all runners as well as walkers.
